Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Tonelixa ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Tonelixa website at tonelixa.com and the Tonelixa mobile application (Bundle ID: com.toneslice.ToneSlice) on iOS devices.
1. Introduction
Tonelixa is an iPhone audio management app that lets you import audio offline, trim and mix it, keep a local library, set ringtones, play in the background, and share. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- When you send feedback via email, we receive the content of your message and your email address.
Information processed automatically:
- Subscription and purchase status is processed through Apple and RevenueCat to verify your Pro entitlement. We do not collect or store payment card details.
- Basic device and app information, subscription events, advertising events, and feature interaction events may be processed by Apple, RevenueCat, Google, or Firebase to operate purchases, provide ads, measure performance, prevent fraud, and improve the App.
Information we do not collect:
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not upload your audio files, ringtones, or recordings to our servers.
- We do not send your audio files, file names, file paths, song titles, recordings, or local audio-source classifications to our analytics provider.
3. How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to:
- Provide and maintain the app's core features
- Process and verify subscriptions
- Show rewarded ads, measure ad performance, and manage advertising-consent choices where required
- Measure app performance and feature use without including your local audio content in analytics events
- Respond to your feedback and support requests
- Improve the app based on user communications
4. Data Storage
Your ringtones, imported audio, editing projects, and internal audio-source classifications are stored locally on your device. App preferences (such as language selection, import-notice acknowledgement, and temporary ad-unlock expiry) are stored in your device's local storage (UserDefaults).
When you uninstall the app, locally stored data is removed from your device. We do not maintain copies of your content on our servers.
5. Device Permissions
Tonelixa may request the following permissions to provide its features:
- Photo Library – to import audio and video from your photo library into your local audio library.
- Microphone – to record custom audio for your library, editing, playback, or ringtones.
- Apple Music / Media Library – to import songs from your music library into Tonelixa for offline management.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Revoking a permission may limit related app features.
6. Advertising and Tracking
Tonelixa uses Google AdMob to provide rewarded advertisements. Before requesting permission to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, Tonelixa displays Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt where required by iOS. You can change your tracking permission in iOS Settings at any time.
Where required by law, Google User Messaging Platform may show a consent form so you can make choices about personalized advertising and related data processing. You can revisit available privacy choices from the app's settings.
7. Third-Party Services
Tonelixa uses the following third-party services:
- Apple – App Store purchases, subscription billing, and Apple Music access. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat – subscription management and entitlement verification. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform – advertising, rewarded ads, consent choices, fraud prevention, and advertising measurement. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Firebase Analytics – app and feature usage measurement. Tonelixa configures analytics events so they do not include your audio content, file names, paths, or song titles. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
These services may process data according to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
8. Website
The official website does not upload or decode files you drop into the demo. The drop zone is animation only. Nothing leaves this browser.
9. Children's Privacy
Tonelixa is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you.
- To delete locally stored app data, uninstall Tonelixa from your device.
- To manage or cancel subscriptions, use your Apple ID subscription settings in iOS Settings or the App Store.
- To request information about data we may hold from your feedback emails, contact us at the address below.
11. Data Security
Because your audio content stays on your device, the primary security measure is your device's own protections (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). We take reasonable steps to protect any information you send us via email.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
